Salary: GBP26000 - GBP30000 per annum

You know what gives you that smug little internal fist-pump? Reconciling a bank statement to the penny. Fixing a spreadsheet that someone else has butchered. Getting expenses right first time. That’s your version of job satisfaction.

We’ve got a role that’ll scratch that itch.

The company are solid, steady, and not the kind that makes you sit through "team building away days" in a muddy field. They just want someone reliable who can keep the numbers in check without needing their hand held.

The role is part-time (up to 30 hours per week), and they’re happy to talk flexible hours. School runs and side hustles.

Pro-rata salary is up to £30k, depending on experience and how many hours you’re looking for. So yes, they’re willing to pay properly for someone who’s not going to turn petty cash into a mystery novel.

Here’s what you’ll be sinking your teeth into:

  • Reconciling purchase invoices (and flagging anything that smells dodgy).
  • Entering financial transactions into Sage (if you’ve used it before, great, if not, it’s not rocket science).
  • Processing and updating expense reports (and chasing missing receipts without sounding like a tax inspector).
  • Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, bringing balance to the chaos.
  • Issuing invoices to customers and chasing up the ones who “forgot.”
  • Sending credit control letters and making those polite-but-firm follow-up calls.
  • Logging customer payments and preparing customer statements that actually make sense.
  • Payroll paperwork: prepping it, checking it, filing it.
  • Paying suppliers.
  • Checking spreadsheets like your reputation depends on it (it kind of does).

You don’t need to be a qualified accountant. But if you’ve got a decent amount of experience in a similar role and you understand what "reconcile" really means, you’re probably the kind of person we’re after.

You’ll report to someone who understands what you do but who will leave you to it. You won’t be micro-managed, and you won’t be buried under red tape. Just clear expectations and a grown-up approach to working.
