Accounts Assistant (Finance & Credit Control)

Are you organised, accurate, and confident working with numbers?

We’re looking for a hands‑on Accounts Assistant to take ownership of our day‑to‑day finance operations — from invoicing and reconciliations to credit control and supplier payments.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, growing business where your work really makes a difference. You’ll work directly with one of our company directors and be trusted to manage your own workload once trained.

What You’ll Be Doing

Raise and send customer invoices in Xero

Upload and process supplier invoices and purchase orders

Submit invoices through customer portals such as SAP Ariba or Coupa, and track payment progress

Carry out credit control – sending statements, chasing overdue accounts, and keeping customer records up to date

Reconcile payments and receipts across the ledgers

Use HubSpot and WooCommerce to check orders, cross‑reference data, and resolve billing queries

Maintain accurate financial records and support general admin tasks

What We’re Looking For

Excellent attention to detail and a love of getting things right

Self‑sufficient and confident managing your own workload once trained

Comfortable using Excel and online accounting systems like Xero

Clear, professional communicator – written and verbal

Reliable, organised, and enjoys routine, process‑based work

Previous experience in finance, admin, or accounts is helpful but not essential – full training provided

Bonus Points

Experience with Xero, HubSpot, WooCommerce, or invoice portals (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa)

Basic knowledge of credit control or bookkeeping

What’s on Offer

Salary : Negotiable (depending on experience)

Hours : 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday

Location : Leatherhead (hybrid working available after training)

26 days holiday + bank holidays
