Kenton Black Finance is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a business based on the outskirts of Lancaster. This leading firm has been operating for over 17 years, and their reputation is key to their success. The business has continued to grow and is now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.

Your new role as the Accounts Assistant:
  1. Matching supplier invoices to purchase orders
  2. Inputting/recording supplier invoices
  3. Assisting with resolving queries on invoices, purchase orders, and supplier issues
  4. Raising invoices and credit notes to customers
  5. Supporting debt collection by generating debt reports and assisting with overdue debts
  6. Reconciliation of suppliers and credit card statements
  7. Filing and archiving relevant documentation
  8. Providing general accounts and office administration support, and assisting other team members as needed
  9. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within a high-volume transactional environment
  • Knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative approach, willing to support colleagues
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel
  • Experience with Sage 50 and Sage 200 (desirable)
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and personal accountability
  • Proficient and accurate data entry skills
  • AAT qualification or similar (desirable)
