This is a well established organisation who are looking for an Accounts Assistant.
Job Description
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices and purchase orders.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory financial requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department as needed.
- Respond to internal and external financial inquiries in a timely manner.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Completed or in the process of completing AAT Level 3 / 4 (or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures in the UK.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
