Job summary

Nub News in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a hybrid basis. You will handle high volumes of supplier and customer transactions, supporting the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.

The role is temporary with a view to permanent and immediate start. You will reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies and help keep the backlog under control. Prior experience in AP/AR and a hands-on, independent approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance in AP/AR.
• Ability to handle high volumes accurately.
• Comfort with manual processes and resolving items.

Accounts Assistant Leicestershire - Hybrid Working Temporary / Temp-to-Perm Immediate Start

The role

• Processing high volumes of transactions across Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger.
• Supporting the team in clearing outstanding transactions and reducing backlogs.
• Processing invoices, payments and receipts accurately.
• Completing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role or a similar transactional finance position.
• Confident across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Comfortable processing high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Happy working with manual processes and resolving outstanding items.
• Able to work independently and contribute from the outset.
