Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a highly successful company in Heanor. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing financial records and supporting the organisation's overall financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately maintain financial records and documentation for all transactions
  • Input data and generate reports using Sage 50 accounting software
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial statements promptly
  • Payment runs to the bank, balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation
  • Assist with month-end close processes
  • Prepare detailed reports for management
  • Collaborate with various departments to support seamless financial operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software is desirable
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record-keeping practices
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and management
