Job description

An expanding group of companies based in High Wycombe has acquired a new company, which is being integrated into their group head office. They are seeking to recruit a highly competent Accounts Assistant to cover end-to-end responsibilities of accounts payable, as well as other areas such as expenses, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable. They are looking for someone who strives for the highest levels of performance and builds excellent relationships with suppliers and customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Coding and processing approximately 500 purchase invoices onto Xero and Sage.
  2. Managing weekly approved payment runs.
  3. Producing and sending remittances for all supplier payments.
  4. Handling supplier queries and maintaining invoice filing.
  5. Processing employee expenses, including verifying receipts for accuracy.
  6. Performing bank reconciliations.
  7. Assisting with Accounts Receivable tasks, including cash allocation, sending chasing emails, and resolving billing queries.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have extensive Accounts Payable experience covering the full spectrum of duties, with flexibility to cover other responsibilities and prioritize workload effectively. Good interpersonal skills and a keen attention to detail, especially regarding cost allocation to projects, are essential. Additionally, an analytical approach with strong Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, is desirable for data analysis and report generation.
