Job summary

Charles Tyrwhitt is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support daily bank reconciliations, sales ledger invoicing and month end tasks within a fast-paced finance team. The role offers a hybrid work model with a proactive environment and opportunities to progress in finance.

You will manage multi-currency reconciliations, collaborate with the sales and finance teams, and contribute to monthly cash flow analysis while maintaining strong attention to detail and initiative.

Qualifications

• Finance degree or experience in working in a finance team.
• Exceptional attention to detail is required.
• Strong numeracy and comfort with numbers and data analysis.
• Ability to take initiative and interact with key stakeholders across the business.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and territories.
• Process sales ledger invoicing and post into the accounting system.
• Assist with month end tasks and journals (prepayments, sales, gift vouchers, card fees).
• Prepare monthly cashflow actualisations and compare spend to forecast with analysis commentary.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and lodgement reviews at month end.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects as required.

The Role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to help manage day to day bank reconciliations, sales ledger invoicing and month end tasks.

Our ideal candidate will show a clear desire to succeed in a career in a fast-paced proactive finance team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and territories
• Working closely with our Third Party Business Development team to prepare and send out sales invoices along with posting these into our accounting system
• Month end management accounts preparation and journals to include – prepayments / sales / gift vouchers / credit card fees
• Monthly cashflow actualisations from bank data and review of spend v current forecast along with commentary of analysis work
• Balance sheet reconciliations at month end including detailed review of lodgements (outstanding cash at month end)
• Ad-hoc projects

What we are looking for

• Strong academic background
• A finance related degree or some experience in working in a finance team
• Demonstrable motivation to progress a successful career in Finance
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative and explore different approaches
• Confidence to interact with key stakeholders across the business
• Highly numerate
• Aptitude in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
• Experience in using accounting and reporting software applications (desirable but not essential)
