Job description

Our client is an independent, privately-owned department store group operating 7 stores primarily in Greater London, along with an Ecommerce platform. Our stores are central to local communities and boast centuries of heritage, brand trust, and customer loyalty—values we embody both in-store and through our communications.

The role is based in the Central Finance Department at our Merton-based Head Office and is expected to last approximately 4 months.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Sales Ledger
  2. Daily bank reconciliation
  3. Processing cash book receipts and payments
  4. Petty cash control and reconciliation
  5. Processing concessions self-billing invoices
  6. Assisting with cash office and related banking procedures
  7. Period end statistics review and reconciliation
  8. Issuing rent invoices
  9. Purchase Ledger
  10. Direct payment processing and Cenpac reconciliation
  11. Administering Head Office expense invoices using MIMS system
  12. Maintaining Purchase Ledger integrity
  13. Generating month-end and year-end reports
  14. Supplier statement reconciliations
  15. Dealing with supplier queries
  16. Processing retrospective rebates and advertising contributions

Experience with Excel and strong attention to detail are required.
