Job summary

A growing family-run business in Wales is seeking an Accounts Assistant to manage payroll, sales and purchase ledgers, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage Line 50 and an AAT qualification, along with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. This role offers a competitive salary and an opportunity to develop within the company.

Qualifications

  • All-round knowledge and experience in accounts.
  • Experience in purchase/sales ledger and WIP reporting.
  • Some HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll, PAYE & NIC management.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts.

Overview

Excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established but constantly growing business in Flintshire/Cheshire.

This position would suit an individual with all round knowledge and experience in accounts, purchase / sales ledger / WIP reporting and ideally have their AAT qualification or an equivalent accountancy qualification.

  • Understanding of P&L & Balance sheet
  • Self-starter and organised
  • WIP reporting/management
  • CIS knowledge an advantage but not essential
  • Positive, proactive, and dynamic – solution solver
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Some HR experience would be preferred but not essential
  • Not essential but ideally has worked within a construction environment
Responsibilities

Working for a family run company that is continually growing and investing in the business and people, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll, PAYE & NIC, day to day management of sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and management accounts.
