A well-established and expanding business based in North Yorkshire is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing operation while supporting the day-to-day financial processes of the organisation.

Role Summary:
This position involves a broad range of accounting tasks and is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in finance who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and flexible working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and maintaining sales and purchase ledger entries
  • Managing supplier payments and bank transactions
  • Posting journals accurately and on time
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial procedures
  • Supporting the preparation of internal financial reports
  • Enhancing and maintaining processes within Sage
  • Collaborating with operational teams to support smooth financial operations

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency with Sage 50 and/or Sage 200
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical approach to managing workloads
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
