Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant with a strong transactional background looking to take ownership and grow within a dynamic, multi-entity environment? We are recruiting on behalf of our client a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Leicester for a confident and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is a varied and hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of transactional finance, particularly Sales Ledger, with exposure across multiple trading companies and rental entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the Sales Ledger for 3 trading companies
  • Light-touch credit control (experience not essential)
  • Support accounts for a rental portfolio of 10 small entities (Sales Ledger, Purchased Ledger, bank reconciliations)
  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
  • Credit card receipt management and reconciliations
  • General accounts support across the group as needed

What the role involves

  • Strong transactional finance experience (Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant level)
  • Experience working across multiple entities and inter-company transactions desirable
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or Xero
  • Good Excel skills comfortable with analysis and reconciliation
  • Solid IT literacy and confidence working across various systems
  • Highly organised, with attention to detail and an all-rounder attitude
