Responsibilities

  • Maintain all financial recording including sales ledger and purchase ledger.
  • Process invoices, payment, and expenses.
  • Manage and maintain overdue accounts.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Support with month end management accounts.
  • Process payroll for all weekly paid employees.
  • Assist the finance manager with ad hoc tasks.

Overview

RG Consultancy are working closely with a manufacturing business in Dukinfield who are looking to recruit an experienced accounts and payroll assistant to work closely with the Finance Manager working on all financial transactions on a day-to-day basis. You will join a small and friendly finance team and be an all-around support in the accounts department.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain all financial recording including sales ledger and purchase ledger
  • Accounts payable - process invoices, payment and expenses
  • Manage and maintain overdue accounts, maintaining and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Support with month end management accounts when required
  • Process payroll for all weekly paid employees
  • Any additional ad hoc and accounts admin tasks as required to assist the finance manager on a daily basis
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in accounts and payroll is essential
  • An AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong IT skills, particularly strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience working with XERO would be an advantage for this role
