A well-established business in Devon is seeking an Accounts Assistant to maintain financial records, support invoicing functions, and ensure compliance with internal policies. Accounts Assistant

Willand, Devon 12.82 – 14.82 per hour Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm Temporary to Permanent

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting invoicing functions, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with credit control and debt chasing.
  • Process and post customer invoices and receipts.
  • Reconcile company credit cards and accounts.
  • Maintain and manage the debtor ledger (approx. 1.2 million).
  • Place accounts on hold when necessary and liaise with the production team.
  • Support month–end procedures and financial reporting.
  • Use Excel and accounting software to track and update financial data.
  • Maintain an organised filing system for financial documents and reports.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounts role.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
