Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in various accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expenses Set Up and Finance Vendor Data Input:
    • Set up and manage expense accounts.
    • Input and maintain accurate finance vendor data.
  • Daily/Monthly AP Ageing Reports and Reconciliation:
    • Prepare and reconcile accounts payable ageing reports on a daily and monthly basis.
    • Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Corporate/HMRC FX Rates:
    • Manage and apply corporate and HMRC foreign exchange rates.
  • Completing Recharges Fortnightly:
    • Process and complete recharges on a fortnightly basis.
  • Monthly Audit Checks:
    • Conduct monthly audit checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Month-End Duties:
    • Assist with month-end closing activities, including posting and preparing journals (Jnls).
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
