Job description

Recruiting for a property company, looking an Accounts Assistant to join them for a 3 month contract.

  • Salary: £35,000 day rate equivalent
  • Location: London
  • Hybrid: 2 days in 3 from home

What can you expect?

  • Collate and input all invoices received each month onto excel for recommendation & payment
  • Ensure accuracy and correct budget coding
  • Deal with daily supplier / invoice queries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Review monthly VAT returns
  • Deal with Import /Export VAT Duty
  • Ensuring Irrecoverable VAT correctly declared / not claimed
  • Submit monthly CIS returns ensuring full compliance across Group
  • Partaking in group annual external audit
  • Performing ad-hoc reconciliations as and when required
  • Liaising with internal & external stakeholders

What skills can you bring?

  • Proven relevant experience working in accounts teams (minimum 2 years).
  • Experienced in VAT & CIS returns.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel user.
  • High attention to detail (essential).
  • Inquisitive mindset, keen to get involved in all areas of finance.
  • Effective communicator with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Organised mind-set with the ability to multi-task.
  • Adaptable, flexible and open to learning new skills, developing expertise and taking instruction.
