Overview

Green & Fortune has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant; we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our accounts department. If you are looking to progress in your accountancy career, this is a role for you!

The main office is located at Kings Place, Kings Cross, N1, London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments, handling any queries effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner.
  • Prepare weekly & monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Prepare and post journals as part of the month-end close process.
  • Assist the Management Accountant with accruals and other supporting schedules for month-end reporting.
  • Assist the Management Accountant with F&B margin reconciliations.
  • Support in producing reports and analyses to aid decision-making by management.
  • Work with colleagues across departments to maintain the integrity of purchasing and stock systems, ensuring adherence to established procedures and contribute to process improvements within accounts payable.
Role Requirements
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role, ideally within the hospitality industry.
  • Understanding of accounts payable processes and month-end procedures.
  • Tech-savvy with solid Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis), and confident in learning and using new systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external suppliers.
