Marks Sattin is recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a fast-paced retail business in Central London. The role covers high-volume purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and support for month-end processes in a hybrid working environment.

The ideal candidate will have accounts payable experience, strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and be immediately available or available at short notice for a 6-month rolling contract.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant position.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within retail, FMCG, or consumer-focused businesses.
• Competent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Able to hit the ground running with minimal training or short notice.

• Resolving supplier and internal finance queries

We are partnering with a fast-paced and growing retail business based in Central London to recruit an immediately available Accounts Assistant on an initial 6-month rolling contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within a well-known retail environment, supporting day-to-day finance operations during a busy period of growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices and supplier payments
• Bank reconciliations and cash allocation
• Assisting with sales ledger and credit control activities
• Supporting month-end processes, including accruals and prepayments
• Resolving supplier and internal finance queries
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity

About You
