We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will be based in our head office in London.
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for handling accounts receivable, including raising invoices, posting payments, credit control, and supporting month-end processes and audits. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure financial accuracy and timely collections.
Accounts Receivable
- Raise core and non-core invoices, proformas, and credit notes.
- Ensure financial information is accurately set up on the integrated ERP system.
- Ensure UK sales operations are completed within set deadlines.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Send seasonal deposit requests to wholesale customers.
- Post payments received in a timely and accurate manner.
- Process letters of credit.
- Liaise with internal departments (Customer Care, Showroom, Marketing, Licensing, Couture, etc.) to gather necessary information for raising financial documents.
- Work with Customer Care to resolve queries with wholesale customers and department stores.
- Liaise with the Logistics team and external logistics partners regarding export shipments.
- Process commissions, consultancy fees, and royalty invoices.
- Support with reviewing customer payment terms during new season campaigns.
Credit Control
- Issue monthly statements to customers.
- Liaise with Customer Care for client remittances.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding balances to minimise the risk of bad debts.
- Proactively follow up with slow and late payers by chasing deposits, proformas, and aged invoices.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts.
Ad hoc Duties
- Support annual audits and other administrative duties as required.
- Any other ad hoc tasks required.

Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
- Excellent computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Experience with SAP is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail with numbers.
- Highly organised and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Interest in working in the fashion and retail sector
