Description
  • Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Manage employee expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement
  • Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs, including supplier payments
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Support month-end reporting and journal entries
  • Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets
  • Handle finance-related queries from internal teams and external suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience working in remote roles
  • Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliations
  • Able to manage workload independently and meet deadlines remotely
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive in resolving queries and supporting the finance team
