Job description

Robert Half Cambridge is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a dynamic business based in Bury St Edmunds who are seeking a new Accounts Assistant to join their ever-expanding team. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working within a finance function and ideally held a position focussed on Accounts Payable previously. The role will support the wider finance team in a range of duties and will consist of duties, as such, flexibility and versatility are key.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing supplier invoices.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month end.
  • Dealing with general supplier enquiries.
  • Sending remittances.
  • Ensuring approvals are in line with policies.
  • Processing the BAC's and payment runs.
  • Processing of the purchase card transactions.
  • Review and processing of Concur expenses.
  • Administrative duties.

Experience And Qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Some experience in Purchase Ledger preferred.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
  • High level of Numeracy and Literacy.
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent English language skills essential.

Salary And Benefits:

The role of Accounts Assistant is paying a salary of up to £30,000 plus excellent benefits.
