Due to our desire to grow and expand our team, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Assistant trainee who is passionate about playing a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of Drive Motor Retail. You would be supporting the business with all aspects of accounting and administration.


Support for study towards a recognised qualification may be available to the right candidate which may suit a school or college leaver seeking their first role, or someone looking for a new challenge.

The ideal candidate's attributes would include:

  • Attitude - as important as qualifications. We need a positive person who can demonstrate numeracy and literacy and is willing to work in, and learn, all aspects of the accounts and administration department
  • An individual with honesty, integrity, and drive. You need to be able to uphold and implement strong processes and controls within the business.
  • Team player - the ability to integrate and help support our close-knit team
  • Competent with IT equipment with knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting all aspects in the accounts and administration department including:
  • Purchase ledger - scanning and posting of invoices, parts verification, reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts
  • To maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations, maintaining relevant trial balance accounts
  • To accurately process cash and bank entries in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of daily TT and BACs payments
  • To learn aspects of sales administration to assist in busy periods

£27000 - £32000 per annum + Hybrid home working
