We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our growing Finance department in a brand-new role created to support our expanding business. Your Role:
As part of our Finance department, you’ll take on a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

  1. Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual reports, including managing fixed assets, prepayments, nominal analysis, and reconciliations.
  2. VAT Compliance: Prepare and reconcile VAT returns on a monthly basis.
  3. Product Costing: Conduct product cost analyses to support pricing strategies and improve profitability.
  4. Payroll Processing: Collaborate in the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including calculations and tax deductions.
  5. Treasury and Accounts Support: Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Cross-Training and Team Support: Learn and support various department functions, providing cover during absences or peak periods.

Key Activities Include:

  1. Preparing monthly/annual reconciliations and VAT returns.
  2. Assisting in year-end audit preparations.
  3. Producing product costings for review.
  4. Processing weekly and monthly payrolls on a rotational basis.
  5. Collaborating with departments to resolve finance-related queries.
  6. Participating in cross-training to ensure comprehensive team support.
  7. Supporting transaction processing within the finance function.
