Company details and Job overview:

Kenton Black Finance are recruiting on behalf of a company who are situated in the Rawtenstall area. This organisation employs over 65 staff and has a turnover of circa 30 million pounds. They are now recruiting for a permanent and full-time Accounts Assistant. The working hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 3pm on a Friday.

Your new role as the Accounts Assistant:

• Invoicing 150 + a month (Service invoicing and Retail invoicing)
• Application and Certificates (invoicing) 1million – 2million T/o each month once the new system has been integrated
• Credit Control for 30 million + turnover, this needs to be done daily/weekly (200 + accounts)
• Aged debtors with notes
• Stop List (controlling and issuing this)
• Bank daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Purchase Ledger - inputting of invoices, this is weekly/monthly, when Purchase Ledger needs support
• Credit card reconciliations

Experience & Skills required to apply:

• You will need to have at least 2 years experience with both credit control and purchase ledger
• Resilient - able to deal with high pressure situations
• Organised and methodical in approach
• Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers
• Can work independently and understand the importance of deadlines
• Customer focused
• Team player; works well as part of a team
• Being resilient and able to deal with the demands of the business

Salary and Benefits on offer:

• Salary: £27,000 - £30,000
• 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays (this number will increase with length of service)
