Accounts Assistant | £26,000-£30,000 | Blackburn (Hybrid & Flexible Working) | 25 Days plus Bank Holidays | Progression Opportunities | Study Support

Axon Moore are partnering with a market-leading company based in Blackburn who are looking for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. As part of their continued growth and ambitious investment plans, this newly created role is an outstanding opportunity to join a high growth organisation, who offer in return mentorship and progression opportunities.

This progressive new opportunity is well suited for enthusiastic candidates, who will gain valuable experience in an exciting and varied role. As Accounts Assistant you will provide support and assist with the day-to-day financial activities, with the chance to progress and increase responsibilities within the role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accounts Payable - invoicing and payments
  • Accounts Receivable - invoicing and credit control
  • Resolving stakeholder queries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing expenses
  • Assisting with cashflow forecasting
  • Production of weekly reports to management
  • Assisting with the production of management accounts
  • Process improvement within AP and AR
  • Assisting with ad-hoc duties

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least one year’s experience within a similar finance position
  • Studying or have the desire to study AAT/ACCA/CIMA
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hardworking approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible nature
