Accounts and Business Support Assistant

  • Location: Between Banbury and Brackley
  • Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE) + monthly and annual bonus
  • Hours: Full time, office-based (9:00-17:00 or 8:30-16:30)
  • Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays
  • Start date: Immediate start available

Our client, a well-established and respected international company is seeking an Accounts and Business Support Assistant to join their small, friendly office team in a varied and hands-on role.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit across accounts, stock control, and day-to-day business operations. Ideally, you'll hold AAT Level 3 (or have equivalent experience) and bring a proactive, team-spirited approach to supporting a busy and collaborative office environment.

Key responsibilities for the Accounts and Business Support Assistant role:

  • Sales order entry and purchase invoice processing
  • Credit control and sales ledger management
  • Stock control, including managing consignment stock for customers
  • Purchase ledger and wider finance support
  • Assisting with month-end, reporting, and budgeting
  • General support with the day-to-day running of the business
  • Using Microsoft Excel and Word to support operational activity

Accounts and Business Support Assistant role - Key requirements:

  • Experience in a similar accounts/admin hybrid role
  • AAT Level 3 (or qualified by experience)
  • Previous experience using SAGE 50 (or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills and confident working with data and reports
  • High attention to detail and good organisational ability
  • A team player who is happy to take a flexible, hands-on approach
