An excellent opportunity has arisen at an established accountancy firm in Wisbech who are looking to hire from a Semi-Senior, up to Senior Accountant level in a mixed Audit and Accounts job. Key Responsibilities:

Audit (60%)

  • Lead and manage audit engagements, from planning to finalisation
  • Supervise and mentor audit teams, ensuring compliance with audit methodologies
  • Review audit workpapers and ensure adherence to UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards
  • Identify and evaluate audit risks; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and address audit queries

Accounts (40%)

  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records and supporting schedules
  • Support the year-end accounts package and liaise with tax teams as required

Requirements:
