Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts & Advisory Manager to lead a portfolio of clients, delivering expert accountancy and tax advisory services while supporting team growth.

You will manage accounts preparation, tax computations, and advisory work, build strong client relationships, coach junior staff, and drive business development. Flexible working is available, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Must hold ACA, ACCA and/or CTA
• Experience managing a client portfolio in an accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and provide practical client solutions
• Proactive leadership and team development capabilities

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients delivering high-quality accountancy, tax compliance and advisory services
• Prepare and review accounts, tax computations and advisory work with technical accuracy
• Provide advice across tax matters, identifying planning opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members through coaching
• Manage workflow, WIP and billing to ensure efficient service delivery
• Identify business development opportunities and support client growth
• Collaborate across the business to deliver an exceptional client experience
