Job summary

Group Lotus is hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator for our Hethel site in Norfolk. The role is temporary and on-site, requiring at least three days per week in the Hethel plant, with eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

You will process supplier invoices, manage VAT admin, data entry, and resolve supplier queries while ensuring accurate ledger reconciliations and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and able to take ownership of work.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices within agreed timelines.
• Process invoices and VAT admin; data entry.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries professionally.
• Reconcile supplier statements to ledger balances.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and post to cash book.
• Maintain accurate data in the finance system.
• Raise and manage supplier debit notes and cancellations.
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve disputes and approval issues.
• Identify process improvements and provide training to relevant teams.
• Perform reconciliations and checks on control accounts.

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Accounts Payable Administrator in the Finance Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

This is a temporary role, based at our site in Hethel, Norfolk.

Summary

What you'll do:

• Accurately process supplier invoices within agreed timelines
• Process invoices and VAT admin
• Data entry
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
• Reconcile supplier statements to ledger balances
• Distribute supplier correspondence and ensure documentation is properly filed
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoice disputes and approval issues
• Raise and manage supplier debit notes and cancellations
• Maintain accurate data in the finance system
• Prepare supplier payment runs and post to the cash book
• Identify process improvements and provide feedback/training to relevant teams
• Perform reconciliations and error checks on control accounts and intercompany balances

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset
• Confident working independently as well as part of a team
• Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of your work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Minimum of GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English

Additional Information:

• This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy, however the role would be required to be based on site in Hethel, at least 3 days per week.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
• This role will be pay rolled by one of our supporting agencies.
• £13.91 per hour
• ASAP start date
• up to 6 months
