Accounts Administrator | St Albans | £26k

A friendly and professional financial services company based in St Albans are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their welcoming team.

This is a busy role where you will provide a full reconciliation service to the Finance department. You will ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met including the FCA Conduct Rules and Principles.

You will be based within a modern office, centrally located and in easy reach of the town centre. The company offer excellent opportunities for development and progression in the future.

What’s in it for you:

· Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm

· 20 days holiday (plus BH) which rises with length of service

Key responsibilities:

· Perform daily bank reconciliations of several accounts

· Raising cheques, initiating transfers and ensuring no overdrawn accounts

· Investigating and reconciling differences efficiently

· Cheque writing to cover all client money accounts, both manual and automated

· Monitoring cheque payments for bounced or uncleared items

· Inputting daily transfers and payments

· Provide support to the cashier function, including preparation of banking

What the employer is looking for:

· Ideally 2 years’ similar experience, including processing reconciliations

· Solid experience within the financial services industry is preferred but not essential

· Minimum Intermediate knowledge of Excel

· Minimum GCSE A-C grade qualifications or equivalent

· Excellent attention to detail
