Job summary

A leading training organization in Lincoln is seeking a Business Administrator Apprentice. You'll process invoices, manage banking, and support the accounts department. Full training provided through work-based learning. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in Maths and English and strong communication and customer service skills. Job description
Overview

What will you be doing? You will ensure that all paperwork and documentation is processed speedily and accurately. Full training will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate understands accounting information such as invoices, credit notes, payment methods, receipts and payments advices, and knowledge and understanding of VAT.

Key duties
  • Process purchase invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist with preparing purchase invoice payment runs as required
  • Process daily cash banking for 12 centres to applicable sales ledger accounts
  • Process daily manufacturer bank statements (coding transactions to applicable sales and purchase ledger accounts)
  • Process daily bank statement
  • Process payment requests (checking data received / setting up on bank for authorisation)
  • Process credit card refunds
  • General administration duties such as filing and dealing with internal site queries (e.g. checking bank for receipt of monies)
Training

Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning; training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated a tutor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.

Qualifications required

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
