Westmorland and Furness Council seeks an Accounting Technician to support finance teams in managing the Council's budget effectively. This role involves crucial tasks like budgeting, processing, and responding to financial queries while ensuring accuracy and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
We are looking for an Accounting Technician to provide support to Accountants and Finance Managers in delivering flexible and professional financial services to support the management of the Council budget in accordance with the Council Plan.
The role is part of our finance business partnering teams and offers direct support to specific directorates within the Council. Responsibilities include supporting the monthly budget monitoring process, processing journals, responding to ad-hoc queries, preparing grant returns, and supporting the year-end closedown process.
