We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our Financial Management service, working with Finance Business Partnering teams to support the Council’s financial responsibilities.
In this role, you will support the delivery of the Annual Financial Cycle including budget monitoring and management, budget estimates, final accounts, and financial control. The role involves ensuring accurate and complete financial information through analysis and challenge, supporting budget holders in meeting their financial responsibilities and providing flexible support to service areas.
You will also contribute to the preparation of financial accounts, assist with financial planning and analysis, and respond to ad-hoc requests for information. The role supports the development of financial models and promotes value for money and efficiency across the Council’s operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT- qualified Accounting Technician (or someone with equivalent experience or qualifications), who is self-motivated, organized and analytical with a strong foundation in financial principles and a commitment to providing high-quality support across a range of financial management tasks.
