A well-known employment agency is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper to join a finance team in Ballymena. The role involves assisting with month-end processes, payroll, and general finance duties. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of related experience and be highly proficient in IT. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Process Purchase Ledger invoices and perform supplier reconciliations.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Handle subcontractor payments and CIS Returns.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Perform general administrative duties in finance.

Accounting Technician/ Bookkeeper- Ballymena

Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with one of Ballymena's most well-known and highly successful companies. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper/ Accounting Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This opportunity has arisen due to company growth, and the successful applicant will work as part of a busy finance team, headed by a supportive Finance Manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the following duties:

  • Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end processes including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and accruals
  • Purchase Ledger invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll, both NI payrolls
  • Subcontractor payments and CIS Returns
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • General administrative duties related to the smooth running of a finance function

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience at a Bookkeeping/ Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Level
  • Highly IT Proficient
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

This role is office-based in Ballymena, and the hours of work are Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm. The successful applicant will be offered a full-time, permanent role, and the salary on offer will be £30,000- £35,000 per annum dependent on experience.
