Your Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our accounting, tax, and treasury functions across our locations within the UK.

Your Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our accounting, tax, and treasury functions across our locations within the UK.

Key Tasks:

  • Coordinate and submit monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS for the UK entities.
  • Work closely with the Financial Shared Service Centre on sub-ledger processes.
  • Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Analyse financial results versus expectations, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Provide technical accounting support to the business.
  • Enhance reporting/planning systems and standardise procedures.
  • Review and implement changes in accounting, tax, and company law.
  • Lead contact for the external auditors.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and other ad hoc financial reports.
  • Preparation and management of the liquidity planning forecasts.
  • Management of operational banking,coordinating with Group treasury, the Financial Shared Service Centre and our corporate bankers.
  • Report liquidity positions and process intercompany funding and hedging.
  • Reporting and filing of business taxes, resolving tax issues as they arise.
  • Responsible contact for external tax consultants, Group Tax and HMRC
  • Identify tax opportunities and risks.

Team / Leadership:

  • Manage Accounting, Tax, and Treasury team.
  • Coach and develop team members.
  • Foster personal growth aligned with objectives.
  • Act as deputy for senior finance team members when needed.

Your Qualifications

  • Professional Qualification: UK qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience: Significant experience in practice and finance functions, preferably within a large corporation
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop teams
  • ERP Systems: Experience with systems like SAP is desirable
  • MS Office: Strong skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Non-tariff compensation is provided for this position.

The location of the position will be across Birmingham and Hereford within the UK and will be posted internally beginning 18th June 2025 until 18th July 2025.
