Job summary

LT Corp is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to support the organization’s accounting functions and internal control environment. The role includes leading two direct reports, coordinating with external auditors, and driving improvements in processes and planning.

You will oversee insurance programs, manage journal entries, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger in line with GAAP across multiple entities. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and internal controls responsibilities.
• Experience operating in a multi-entity organization is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
• Experience creating PowerBI reporting is a plus but not required.
• Exposure to corporate insurance/risk management administration is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain internal control procedures over financial reporting, banking, and payroll systems, promoting consistent control processes across entities.
• Monitor compliance with controls; identify gaps and suggest improvements; support testing and remediation.
• Lead and develop AR and Accounting roles, set goals, and coach for high performance.
• Coordinate insurance renewals with brokers/carriers and review coverage terms.
• Process and track certificates of insurance for vendors and contracts.
• Support close processes (monthly/quarterly/annual), including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and GAAP compliance; approve reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist external auditors with schedules and responses; drive process improvements.
