Job summary

Pro-Finance is assisting a Big 4 firm in Manchester to appoint an Accounting Services Senior Associate. ACA or ACCA qualification is expected, with exposure to financial reporting, UK GAAP/IFRS, and a diverse portfolio of national and multinational clients.

You will join a technically strong, collaborative team delivering efficient, insight-driven solutions, supporting ongoing compliance and reporting, client secondments, and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or international equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS; US GAAP exposure is a bonus.
• Experience using accounting software and strong Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements (SFS).
• Bookkeeping and periodic management accounts preparation.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Support ad hoc accounting and advisory projects.
• Participate in client secondments and on-site work as required.
• Contribute to proposals and support growth of the accounting compliance offering.
• Support process improvement, technology, risk, and controls.
• Mentor junior team members.

What you will be doing as an Accounting Services Senior Associate

• Preparation of statutory financial statements (SFS)
• Bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts
• Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality outputs
• Supporting ad hoc accounting and advisory projects
• Participating in client secondments, working on-site where required
• Contributing to proposals and supporting the growth of the accounting compliance offering
• Supporting developments in process improvement, technology, risk, and controls
• Managing and mentoring junior team members

What you will need to succeed as an Accounting Services Senior Associate

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or international equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS (US GAAP exposure beneficial)
