Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing accounting expertise for recent acquisitions, with a focus on purchase price accounting and integration work.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Provide accounting expertise to ensure seamless integration into BAU activities, including review of SPA and liaising with M&A and Integration teams and vendors.
  • Manage and guide the Assistant Accounting Manager and Senior Accountants.
  • Conduct detailed integration analysis, including process mapping and documentation.
  • Prepare SOPs and coordinate handover to offshore teams.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and that transitioned work aligns with Gallagher FPMs.
  • Assist in producing accurate acquisition management accounts and commentary within tight deadlines.
  • Build positive relationships with senior stakeholders, including Finance Directors and operational heads.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and support external/internal audits.
  • Liaise with offshore teams to control month-end posting and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and other departments.
  • Support internal policies, legal compliance, and ethical standards.
About You
  • Essential: CA, ACCA, or ACA qualification, with experience in professional services or a large, complex business environment.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Preferred: US GAAP and SOX compliance experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in acquisition accounting, project management, or process implementation.
  • Strong prioritization, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and organizational skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
