Job summary

BPP Actuarial Education is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function, ensure accurate financial reporting, implement strong controls and provide high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders.

You will manage the accounts team, drive month-end processes, oversee VAT and tax reporting, and collaborate with the wider BPP Group. A qualified accountant and prior leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent with proven accounting operations experience.
• Experience managing accounting or finance operations.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong financial controls and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Experience leading, developing and supporting team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead and develop the accounts team and ensure timely close.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate statutory accounts and external audits.
• Maintain VAT and tax reporting compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
