Our client is a growing Top 40 accountancy practice providing expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England. We have a new opportunity for a Accounts Manager to join their Accounts team. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options, allowing you to flex your hours to suit your lifestyle.

Responsibilities:
  1. Line manage and develop staff within the accounts team.
  2. Manage and implement Accounts Workflow Procedures for all aspects of accounts preparation, maintaining high standards.
  3. Oversee incoming accounts jobs to ensure resources meet deadlines and highlight resource gaps.
  4. Review workflow preparation of statutory accounts (primarily FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105).
  5. Report directly to Partners, ensuring queries are addressed and client communications are managed effectively.
  6. Coordinate with Seniors and clients to plan work efficiently and obtain necessary documentation.
  7. Manage specific accounts assignments.
  8. Handle corporation tax computations and returns.
Requirements:
  1. ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience in a UK practice environment.
  2. Previous line management experience.
  3. Experience with UK GAAP and financial reporting.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  5. Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Team player with a confident, positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
  7. Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, and quick to learn new software.
  8. Ability to create a positive impression with clients and colleagues.
