Our client is a growing Top 40 accountancy practice providing expert solutions for entrepreneurial businesses and private individuals in Central and Southern England. We have a new opportunity for a Accounts Manager to join their Accounts team. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options, allowing you to flex your hours to suit your lifestyle.
Responsibilities:
- Line manage and develop staff within the accounts team.
- Manage and implement Accounts Workflow Procedures for all aspects of accounts preparation, maintaining high standards.
- Oversee incoming accounts jobs to ensure resources meet deadlines and highlight resource gaps.
- Review workflow preparation of statutory accounts (primarily FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105).
- Report directly to Partners, ensuring queries are addressed and client communications are managed effectively.
- Coordinate with Seniors and clients to plan work efficiently and obtain necessary documentation.
- Manage specific accounts assignments.
- Handle corporation tax computations and returns.
Requirements:
- ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years post-qualified experience in a UK practice environment.
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience with UK GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a confident, positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
- Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, and quick to learn new software.
- Ability to create a positive impression with clients and colleagues.
