Job summary

Leapfrog Limited is seeking an experienced accounting manager to own client delivery and team performance for a portfolio of real estate and private equity clients based in the UK. You will review complex financial information, manage deadlines and service standards, and provide technical guidance on fund structures.

You’ll line manage, coach and develop junior team members while overseeing statutory statements, consolidations, NAV reporting and audits.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and related standards.
  • Organised, client-focused and capable of meeting competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting services for a portfolio of real estate and private equity clients.
  • Act as the main client contact and proactively manage expectations and deadlines.
  • Provide technical guidance on fund structures and complex accounting matters.
  • Review team output and ensure deadlines and KPIs are achieved.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements and consolidations.
  • Prepare and review quarterly investor reporting, management accounts and capital statements.
  • Oversee NAVs, bank covenant reporting, investor tax, CIS and VAT reporting.
  • Plan and manage year-end audits and liaise with clients and external auditors.
  • Review and authorise treasury activities within agreed signatory limits.
  • Ensure regulatory and statutory reporting deadlines are met.
  • Manage client billing and monitor settlement of fees.
  • Support the onboarding and transition of new business.
  • Line manage, coach and develop junior team members.
  • Identify process improvements and support wider projects.

Job description

Take ownership of both client delivery and team performance in this varied accounting management role. You'll work with established and new real estate and private equity clients, reviewing complex financial information while ensuring deadlines and service standards are consistently achieved. Strong technical knowledge and confident leadership will be essential.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with around 3 to 5 years' post-qualification experience, together with a strong understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. You'll have strong technical accounting and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to act as a key point of contact for clients and more complex queries. Previous experience managing, supervising or coaching staff is important, alongside the ability to review work, delegate effectively and develop junior colleagues. You'll also be highly organised and client-focused, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain high standards of accuracy and service.
