Job summary

RSM UK is expanding its London-based Accounting and Financial Reporting team. We are seeking an ambitious supervisor to lead bookkeeping, reporting and VAT work for Real Estate clients while guiding junior staff.

You will manage client relationships, contribute to fee proposals and ensure high-quality outputs across outsourced and insourced services. The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification with at least three years in finance function support, strong UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with at least three years' experience in finance function support, management accounting or outsourcing.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS, VAT compliance, and accounting systems, with advanced Excel and adaptability to new technology.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Experience supervising and developing junior team members, with excellent communication, stakeholder management and client-relations skills.
• Keen interest in Real Estate sector and delivering value-added finance support services.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with finance function optimisation, including outsourced/insourced accounting services, system implementations, and temporary resource needs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings and advisory support.

• Supervise and develop junior staff, contribute to training programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.

You Will Make An Impact By

As an Accounting and Financial Reporting Supervisor, you’ll act as an extension of our client’s finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, management reporting, VAT returns, and statutory accounts preparation, acting as the key contact for auditors throughout the year-end process.
• Support clients with finance function optimisation, including outsourced/insourced accounting services, system implementations, and temporary on-site or virtual resource requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings, and trusted advisory support.
• Manage the commercial aspects of client portfolios, including cost analysis, billing, debtor monitoring, and contributing to client pitches and fee proposals.
• Supervise and develop junior team members, while contributing to wider team initiatives, training programmes, and continuous improvement activities.

What We Are Looking For

• ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified accountant with at least three years’ experience in finance function support, management accounting, or outsourcing within professional practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS, VAT compliance, and accounting systems, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to adapt to new technology.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work with strong attention to detail.
• Experienced in supervising and developing junior team members, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative, ambitious, and committed to continuous learning, with a keen interest in developing expertise within the Real Estate sector and delivering value-added finance support services.
