Job summary

Clark Wood are recruiting an Accountant to join their independent Chartered Accountants firm in Droitwich, Worcestershire. The role offers exposure to owner-managed businesses, SMEs, sole traders and limited companies across accounts, tax and advisory services.

The successful candidate will gain experience across statutory accounts, tax compliance, VAT, and advisory projects, with full study support and clear progression opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Experience preparing accounts and supporting tax compliance work.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Assist with accounts preparation from bookkeeping records through to final accounts.
• Support corporation tax and personal tax compliance work.
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with bookkeeping tasks where required.
• Support management accounts, budgeting and forecasting assignments.
• Deal with client queries and provide day-to-day accounting support.
• Assist with advisory projects and ad hoc client assignments.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality service.
