Job description

The successful individual will become part of the accounts team. The individual will be responsible for delivering high quality work, reporting directly to Managers. The role will be a mix of office based and working at client's premises; some travel will be required, with the travel to clients.

Description

1. Accounts experience minimum of 5 years in an accountancy practice
2. Experience of company tax computations and returns
3. Good IT skills, competent in Excel, Sage, QuickBooks etc.
4. Able to work to deadlines and keep on target with time specific work, ensuring compliance with internal procedures
5. Experience of completing personal tax returns would be a benefit but not essential
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, confident communicator, professional manner, and pride in appearance
7. Collaborates well working in a team environment
8. Commercial understanding of what affects the client
9. Able to travel for work at a client's premises

Profile

1. ACCA/ACA qualified
2. Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in an accounting practice
3. Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with UK GAAP and IFRS
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
5. Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
6. Tax compliance knowledge (corporate and personal tax)
7. Ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
10. Experience supervising junior staff members
11. Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
12. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
13. Client relationship management experience
