Working with dedicated experts and specialising as a medical accountant, can be a great way to advance your career.

Due to the continuing success of our specialist medical department, and our focus on increasing our market share in this sector, we are looking for an AAT or equivalent qualified individual to join our team. Acting for a large number of GP Practices across the Midlands as well as individual GP’s, we are the number one choice for the medical sector in Leicestershire. We offer expert advice on accounts, personal tax and pensions, together with bookkeeping and management accounts services.

Previous experience of working within the Medical sector is not necessary as specialist training and support will be provided.

Who we are looking for:
  • Minimum AAT qualified or equivalent
  • A minimum 3 years’ experience of working in an Accountancy practice
  • Have a basic understanding of personal tax
  • Able to work on assignments independently
  • Good IT skills and comfortable using different software packages
  • Have excellent attention to detail and thrive on exceeding client expectations
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

This role may include (but is not limited to):

  • Act as second contact to a portfolio of clients, building relationships with Practice Managers and GPs
  • Preparation of annual accounts and tax computations for sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparation of NHS Pension certificates
  • Participate in client meetings as requested and manage client expectations by ensuring they are always kept up to date.
  • Deliver an excellent level of customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely manner
