Job Description
  • Location: City of London
  • Salary: £50K - £65K depending on level of qualification and experience
  • Permanent and Full time.

Main Duties include:

  • Support the Financial Controller in bookkeeping, accounting processes and group reporting for the UK entities of the group.
  • Enter financial information into relevant ledgers, accounting, and treasury systems.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data by ensuring accurate and timely entries and transaction processing.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, including transaction processing, manual journals, accruals, etc.
  • Compile monthly VAT data.
  • Perform regular accounting reconciliations, including debtor/creditor, inter-group, bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with external audit processes.
  • Collaborate with tax advisors for corporation tax return queries and filings.
  • Support the financial reporting team in improvement projects, such as implementing new accounting systems (e.g., SAP).

Essential Skills required:

  • Degree educated with a bachelor's or master's level in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Part-qualified /Qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS
  • Familiarity with UK tax filing and reporting requirements, particularly for VAT and corporation tax.
  • Experience in external audit process and expectations from the in-house accounting team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) would be a bonus.
