Job summary

Worldpay is seeking an Accountant II to join the Settlement Cash Accounting team. You will prepare month-end journal entries, perform cash and balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze financial statements to explain variances.

You’ll work with stakeholders across the business, support audit requests, and help implement process improvements. A professional accounting qualification is in progress (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with ERP experience such as Oracle, Radar, or Arcs.

What you’ll own

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries during the month and at month end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Complete cash and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Analyse financial statements and provide clear, meaningful explanations for key variances.
• Respond to internal stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with audit requests, providing supporting documentation and explanations for journal postings and account activity.
• Partner with Senior Accountants, your manager and the wider team to support day-to-day accounting operations and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions, and help implement changes that drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.

• It’s a bonus if you have Experience working with Oracle or other large ERP systems.
• Previous experience performing month end processes within a financial accounting team.
• Experience supporting internal or external audits.
• Progress towards, or completion of, a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Experience with Arcs.
• Experience with balance sheet accounts in multiple currencies.
• Experience with Radar.
