Job summary

Bunzl UK & Ireland is recruiting an Accountant to join the General Accounting team in Isleworth. You will deliver close, reconciliations, period-end activities, and analysis across Bunzl operating companies, supporting the FSSC processes and systems implementation programme.

The role requires a graduate calibre qualified accountant, strong accounting controls, and experience in a Finance Shared Services environment.

Qualifications

Graduate Calibre Qualified Accountant with professional qualification.
Experience leading a team in a Finance Shared Services environment.
Proven ability to design, implement and operate robust financial controls.
Track record delivering service in a fast-paced finance function.
Experience working to tight deadlines with high transaction volumes.

Responsibilities

Deliver general accounting tasks for Bunzl operating companies, including period end close and reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounting activities.
Support other General Accounting team members and audits as required.
Assist ERP and finance systems transition to the Shared Service Centre.
Identify efficiency improvements in processes and metrics.
Build understanding of internal controls and maintain compliance.
Maintain strong relationships with Bunzl UK&I Finance and other stakeholders.
Provide high level customer service to business partners and internal customers.
