A healthcare technology company is looking for an FP&A Accountant in Belfast to oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance, and support financial operations. Ideal candidates should have a recognized accounting qualification and at least two years' experience. The role involves building stakeholder relationships and offering opportunities for professional growth within a high-growth finance department.

The FP&A Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the quality and timeliness of both internal and external financial reporting whilst ensuring a robust internal control framework is in operation. Building key stakeholder relationships is important within finance and through the organisation.
All of these deliveries to made against a backdrop of ensuring compliance with all internal SOP's and external legislation, regulation and best-practice against which we are measured.
This role is ideally suited to someone wanting to see, do and understand all aspects of how an innovative and high-growth listed company finance department works and will offer the opportunity to learn and progress as the company and department continue to expand.
People Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels to advise and liaise with senior members of staff.
Customer Service / External Impact: Keeps our customers central to all that we do as a team and a business. Strengthens relationships and builds strong networks with key stakeholders including auditors, tax and other advisors, and with internal stakeholders right up to Board level.
Decision Making: The duties should be carried out with a high degree of organisational and strategic thinking skills.
Initiative and Independence: Be credible and knowledgeable on Finance and Accounting topics, providing accurate, dependable and valuable information and insights. Be reliable, dependable, trustworthy and positive.
Education - Recognised full professional accounting (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) preferable but part-qualified will also be considered.
Experience - At least 2 years in professional accounting environment; experience in industry is preferred but not essential.
Excellent Numerical and Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, an understanding of business along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels to advise and liaise with senior members of staff, including non-accountants.
Current technical reporting knowledge: A solid foundation of basic accountancy skills including an understanding of UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS. Understanding of basic tax legislation to include direct and indirect taxes.
Computer and software Knowledge and Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite incl. Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience of ERP systems including Sage Intacct preferred but not essential.
