Job Introduction

We seek high-calibre Accountants to join our Finance Operations team in Cardiff. Finance Operations delivers high-quality process accounting and reporting to our business and finance customers. We are recruiting across various teams and will assign roles based on skills.

Main Responsibilities

As an Accountant, your duties will include:

• Contributing to reporting processes to understand and rectify the financial position and performance of the Division, ensuring proper controls over sub-ledgers and integration with the general ledger.
• Managing accurate transaction recording in the ERP general ledger, ensuring compliance with standards and controls, and enhancing financial process efficiency.
• Supporting internal and external audits, collaborating with outsourced partners, FP&A teams, and stakeholders.
• Documenting and implementing accounting judgments per BBC policies and standards.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance and well-supported balances.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed, you should:

• Hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Have significant experience in delivering high-quality accounting services.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to influence.
• Be capable of simplifying complex data for wider understanding.
• Have knowledge of accounting principles and controls.
